ICE Has Rescinded its Rule Requiring International Students to Take In-Person Classes this Fall

Yesterday, the Trump administration reversed course and abandoned a policy that would require international students to attend at least one in-person course during the fall term. The rule applied even at universities that were committing to an entirely online semester due to the coronavirus pandemic. The federal government’s reversal came after a large amount of backlash and lawsuits from universities.
