COVID-19 and nonimmigrant status

Updated: Jun 12

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recognizes the fact that Covid-19 brings new

uncertainty about your immigration status.

In order to protect everyone and keep safe, nonimmigrants who would normally have to depart the United States before their authorized period of admission expires may now unexpectedly remain in the United States beyond their authorized period of stay due to COVID-19. Should this occur, there are other several options found on their website.
